On the 4th of May at 20:00, the Dutch observe two minutes of silence to remember the people who have become casualties of war since the outbreak of World War II. The day after, we celebrate our freedom.

The National Committee 4 and 5 May has made an MP3 with two minutes of silence available for download. People can play it on their computer, iPod or mobile phone in observance of Remembrance Day.

One of the accompanying banners is shown above, webmasters can put it on their site to encourage people to download the MP3. It’s good to see that such a fairly traditional committee runs a modern campaign like this one to increase awareness of this important day!
